Inaugural Campus Match Play: “One-Day Open Shootout” March 1
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps hosted the first event on March 1. Campus Match Play is a joint USTA/ITA program designed to bring together junior, collegiate, and open players for competition on college campuses. Vote former ABAC tennis player Michael Johns through on American Idol Johns, a member of the 1998 Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College team, is one of this year's top contestants on American Idol. 2008 Wilson/ITA College Tennis Promotional Awards
Wilson and the ITA are proud to announce the creation of the Wilson/ITA College Tennis Promotional Awards to recognize Varsity Team Managers and Varsity Student-Athletes. National award winners will complete a summer internship within Wilson’s communications or marketing departments in the home office located in Chicago, Ill. Learn more.

ITA Coaches Convention a Success!
Nearly 300 men's and women's college tennis coaches at all levels gathered for this year's convention at Naples. The four-day convention was highlighted by some of the most influential people in the sport of tennis, including former US pro Todd Martin, who presented a clinic courtesy of Wilson Sporting Goods. USTA/ITA Community Service and Campus Recreation National and Regional Award Winners Announced
Ouachita Baptist University Director of Tennis Craig Ward has been named the national winner of the USTA/ITA Community Service Award and Gustavus Adolphus’ men’s tennis coach Steve Wilkinson is the national winner of the USTA/ITA Campus Recreation Award. Read more

ITA Announces partnership with Tennis Life Magazine.
Tennis Life will now be the official magazine of the ITA. Beginning with the January 2008 issue, TLM will publish editorial in every issue on college tennis, giving collegiate tennis the attention it deserves. Read More.
