Colgate University, an NCAA DI member of the Patriot League and ECAC Hockey invites applicants for the Second Assistant Tennis Coach position within its Athletics Department. This position reports to the Head Coach of Men’s and Women’s Tennis and is expected to adhere to all NCAA, Patriot League, ECAC Hockey, and Colgate University rules and regulations.

Responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to: 

Responsible for execution of specific strategic activities and outcomes within assigned sport or area. These will include sustained performance and execution in the following areas:
-adhere to Head Coach’s philosophy
-athletic instruction/coaching under the direction of the head coach
-facilitate program operations and administration as designated by head coach

Accountable for maintaining personal compliance with all relevant governing bodies to include:
-NCAA
-specific conference
-athletic department
-university policies
-Successful completion of annual NCAA recruiting exam
-attendance at all required compliance educational meetings 
-successful on-time completion of all required Athletics Compliance documentation.

 -accountable for student-athlete welfare while coaching, and responsible for role modeling behaviors and leadership for student-athletes.

 

Professional Experience/ Qualifications:              

Previous tennis playing and/or coaching experience 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience coaching tennis preferred, experience coaching or playing at the Division I level is desired.

Education:          

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

A current valid driver's license, in accordance with the University's Driver Safety and Motor Vehicle Use Policy is required.
