New Mexico State University Graduate Assistant Tennis Coach - Women’s Tennis


New Mexico State University is accepting applications for one (1) Graduate Assistant. The successful applicant must meet the admission requirements for New Mexico State University Graduate Program of their choosing and be prepared to begin working no later than August 2019.  This individual will be responsible for assisting the Head Coach in Women’s Tennis in all duties of the program. Duties include, but are not limited to, racquet stringing, recruiting and administrative duties, organizing practices and strength/conditioning sessions, team travel, fundraising, and on court coaching.


Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree and should have good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and experience as an intercollegiate tennis player and/or coach.  Must be willing to work evenings/weekends/holidays and travel with team as required. Valid driver’s license required. All candidates must pass a background check. As a part of the graduate assistant’s responsibilities, they will follow the regulations and guidelines of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the Western Athletic Conference, New Mexico State University Department of Athletics and Recreation, and New Mexico State University.



Stipend of $16,000. This amount includes tuition and fees that the graduate assistant is responsible to pay themselves. This is a one-year appointment with the opportunity for renewal upon successful performance.
