Services Civil Engineer Position Overview & Duties


  • Support the technical component of the USTA Facility Assistance Program in coordination with staff (National and Sectional)
  • Organize support for engineering, planning and maintenance to tennis facilities including help with maximum utilization of facilities, equipment and providing contact resources;
  • Maintain infrastructure per industry recommendations and specifications;
  • Conduct and coordinate site inspections, surveys and develop recommendations and specifications to improve, repair or modify tennis facilities and building systems toward the highest operational integrity;
  • Interpret drawings, blueprints and schematics;
  • Support Facilities and Maintenance requests from field locations and keep current records
  • Advise of new trends and innovations in the field of tennis and municipal facilities; and
  • Advise or give resources on navigating city, county and state offices and officials through the planning, permitting and funding processes; and
  • Assist with and offer recommendations for the court dimensions and over-runs for the 36-foot and 60-foot court. Keep them updated and refined (“services”)
