UNF Men’s Tennis- Graduate Assistant Position

Job Description

The University of North Florida Men’s Tennis program is seeking one graduate assistant coach. The successful candidate is required to meet the admission standards for the University of North Florida graduate program of their choice, and also be prepared to work beginning no later than August 2019. This graduate assistant would be aiding the UNF Men’s Tennis head coach in all areas of the program. Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting head coach to conducting practices, fundraising, and other training, team travel, administrative responsibilities, racquet stringing, managing equipment and on-court coaching.

Qualifications

Those interested must possess a bachelor’s degree and have strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and have experience playing or coaching in tennis at the intercollegiate level. Candidates will have to be willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays as required. A valid driver’s license as well as a successful background check are also required. Candidates are required to adhere to the regulations and guidelines as established by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the ASUN, the University of North Florida and the University of North Florida Athletics Department.

Compensation

Candidate will receive a scholarship to be used towards the completion of a master’s degree, or the equivalent compensation. This is a one-year assignment offering the opportunity for renewal upon successful performance.
