Volunteer Assistant Coach – Men’s Tennis

Position Summary:

Wichita State University is seeking a qualified candidate for the Volunteer Assistant Men’s Tennis Coach Position. This position will assist the men’s program with day to day operations, organizing and planning of team travel, as well as have a large role in on-court coaching.


• Bachelor’s degree required

• Prior collegiate or professional tennis experience preferred

Additional Salary Information: Volunteer position. Camps, lesson, and clinic opportunities are available on campus and at a local tennis club.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: 

• Ability to work with a diverse population 

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

• Knowledge of intercollegiate sports operations and NCAA rules 

Essential Functions: 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting the head and assistant coaches in daily operations; travel to individual and team events, on court coaching in team and individual settings; working within the AAC and NCAA rules and regulations.
